THE STORY OF THE CASTLE
The the
Castle of Pavia, a rectangular plan with four corner towers, is a symbol of the common
architecture of the fifteenth century castles in England. The rooms are luxurious, elegant and regal, allowing a plunge in history.
Starting from the inner courtyard, square, of modest size, the guardian of an ancient stone well and beautiful wall pantings, up to the gallery of the weapons cross vault, to the halls of the swans, flowers, ladies, the library, the study of the leaves: all speaks the language of history in his expressions of pleasure.

THE BUILDING
Different solutions are available: single, double, double, luxury apartment living with the axes, flat-princely baroque arabesque, apartment tower (duplex).
The
45 hotel rooms, recall, furnishings and colors, the interior
sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Twelve rooms are on the top floor of the castle, where the suite is also derived from the
ancient master bedroom.
The Prince apartment has a big closet which occupies almost the entire wall. The tables are old pews restored. Looming over the bed a large blue cloth, painted, while in the south east is the beautiful fireplace decorated with knots of love and garland on the hood, stylized scrolls on the sides. Knots and streamers adorning the rectangles on the wooden doors.
In this suite, 28 January 2003 has housed King Carl Gustav of Sweden and
9 December 1815 there was born an engineer Grattoni Severino, author of the Frejus tunnel. Curiosities that add to the charm and enchantment of the place.
Even the rooms on the ground floor, obtained in the most recently renovated, are decorated with fine warp and overlook the lush garden that shows, in full view, a
magnificent baroque fountain.
THE RESTAURANT
The dining rooms are in the "rustic", whose porch was formerly used for the shelter of the carriages, while rooms in the upper floor, were stored grain and fodder.
The restoration of the interiors, attentive to the respect of existing materials, has revealed a striking ceiling with massive beams.
Elegance and tradition merge in the beautiful room on the ground floor and in the large banquet hall that can accommodate, respectively, up to 130 and 150 diners.
The tables are created with tablecloths, silverware and porcelain, in perfect harmony with the style of the place.
The cuisine draws on the expertise of skilled chefs offering recipes related to the seasons and the region, placed its focus on the quality of ingredients.
THE LOUNGE SWIMMING POOL
An elegant and
stylish sun-deck surrounding the pool in keeping with the style of the hotel.
The warm tones of wood chosen for the furnishings blend well with ceramics in neutral colors of blue spots where dolphins and shells draw.

The gym is made of a space decorated with natural light and relaxing tones and a large mirror amplifies the light.

HOW TO GET
From Milan-Sea A7 Milan-Genoa: Casei Gerola exit, turn left to Voghera, still continuing to Voghera also the first round and soon after,at the second round about, turn left, indicating Silvano Pietra, continue for 4 km along the provincial road 12, crossing the village of Silvano Pietra, and after 2 km, of Corana, continue along the road 12 for 4 Km until you reach the junction that leads to the center of Cervesina, turnright and follow the brown arrows of the castle. Continue along the road to Cervesina Left (Provincial Road n. 23) for 1.5 miles, then turn right again at the intersection and follow for 1 km, the road will take you directly to the castle.
From the Turin-Piacenza-Brescia (A21): the toll of Voghera, enter the ring road towards Casteggio, the second exit, follow signs for Cervesina; through the village of Oriolo continue for 1.7 km along the road of Cervesina the left (provincial road n. 23), then turn left at the intersection that will take, after 1 km, the village of San Gaudenzio, where is situated the castle.
